The North West Victorian Motorcycle Club has hosted the Hattah Desert Race in its current format for more than 10 years.
It’s now recognised as one of the toughest and most popular off-road races on the national calendar.
In 2012, Toby Price absolutely blitzed the field in both the prologue event on the Saturday and the main race on Sunday.
Past winners include Ben Grabham, Warren Smart ,Glen Kearney and six-time Australian Enduro Champion Brad Williscroft.
The race is fought out over eight laps, For 2013 The KTM Hattah Desert Race Track Committee intends to lengthen the total distance of the track to approx 38klms which was its original length, through unique Mallee scrub land which includes everything from tight, technical sections winding through trees to wide open blasts through open paddocks and sand hills.
The KTM Hattah Desert Race runs over three days featuring Friday night Scrutineering and meet and greet the riders, show and shine in feast street Mildura, In 2012 the junior event for the first time in history will have all juniors riders prologue which will denote there starting positions for the main race and will follow the format of the seniors in previous years this will enhance the junior race making it without a doubt the greatest off road junior event in Australia , Senior prologue will immediatley follow the junior prologue, all senior riders, the clubman will prologue to determine starting positions for Sunday's Main event.
Friday July 5: Scrutineering and sign-on.
Saturday July 6:Junior and Senior Prologue, Junior KTM Hattah Desert Race.
Sunday July 7: KTM Hattah Desert Race.
